NIRx Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)
The NIRScout X+ Core System Unit is a functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) platform that measures hemodynamic responses to neuroactivation via oxy-, deoxy-, and total hemoglobin changes in the cerebral cortex.
It is capable of gathering single or multi-subject measurements and is compatible with other modalities.

Computers and Software
The Human Research and Data Analysis Core offers three operating systems: an Apple iMac with Retina 4K Display, a Dell OptiPlex 7060 MT, and a Thinkmate GPX running a high capacity Linux system with 20 core processors and 128G of RAM for large scale analysis.  This core can interface with Tulane’s high performance computing system, Cypress.  A 20 Terabyte RAID server with removable bays provides ample data storage.
